Contrary to popular belief, Orochimaru did have regrets. Even if he doesn't realize it yet. When he does, he's left in despair. He had betrayed so many people, so many of his friends. His dream was mutilated and twisted to what it was now. Having his mind revealed to certain truths left his world shattered. All he wants now is to fix his mistakes, even if he truly dies doing it.
