Rex finds himself thrust into a world of Pokémon and forced to play a part in the dangerous show of an unknown puppeteer. Together with Bristle, the egotistical self-proclaimed guildmaster of a small town, and the growing population of her guild, they must find a way to escape the storyline that has been laid out for them before it reaches a disastrous ending.
