This season follows a new format. This season depicts the spring semester of 2019-2020. The second half of the season depicts the fall semester of the 2020-2021 year. It chronicles the Degrassi 9th – 12th-grade teenagers and follows their lives as they deal with the typical issues and challenges of teenage life, such as sexuality, alcoholism, eating disorders, and self-esteem.
