After tending to Terry after a very rough patrol, Max finds a file that none can access except for Terry and Bruce. She has seen all manner of the Bat family's secrets in her time as Terry's support in their campaign against Gotham; but something is different about File 584. As she digs, the truth becomes more more terrifying as the file seems to have eyes and a mind of its own.

North-Gate and its tyrant lay destroyed; a vanishing plume of smoke only in memory. Now, the heroes can move on with their lives moving forward into the world. However, the true test now begins. Their actions going forward, an account arriving in verdict. The warriors this time will unwittingly nurture the beast that hunts for good and ill. But which prevails? Nurture or Nature?
