Thank you to everyone who left comments on my first short story - your encouragement has led to this new, light hearted, 'What if', where Darcy and Elizabeth allow each other the opportunity for candid speech earlier in their interactions. In this scenario, it is granted partway through Elizabeth's stay at Netherfield, leading to a much earlier conclusion of events.
