Miranda and her two best friends, Carrie and Kitty, work together to propel their extreme-metal garage band to international stardom. When they don't have the lyrics, Miranda and her friends get Danny, Miranda's brother, into an emotional mode to write entries in his journal that Miranda can use for lyrical inspiration, so that Miranda and her friends can perform a perfect song.

Carrie forms a new band called Killing Business with new friends, cynical and sarcastic emo girl Ellen Poe and hyperactive and energetic Japanese-American girl Stephanie Lodicrust after her old band The Newmans broke up. Join them on awesome adventures and shenanigans.
