Following the War of the Thorns and the Battles for Mordheim and Mount Hyjal several hundred Night Elf Sentinels and hundreds of Alliance Pioneers are trapped in the Empire. Knowing that the Horde had formed an Alliance with Enemies of the Empire, Shandris to save her home, and return successfully must convince them to a join a war they do not know yet that they have stakes in.

Portals and Gateways to other worlds, source of foul invasions and threats. When nascent portals are discovered connecting Azeroth to yet another mysterious world, the Hoard and Alliance race to uncover their secrets and explore this world, only to find themselves further tied to a world of war and dark threats.
