The first thing Hilbert realized, after much thought, was that Zekrom did not want him leaving the odd region he had found himself in. Furthermore, he realized that impulsively swearing to follow his Ideals to the end of the Earth was probably not a good idea. Stuck with a Golett, some weird thing called Bond Phenomenon, and a heavy electron charge, what else was he supposed to do?

So: you're trying to carve your own path, away from your family. Maybe you're searching for your muse. Hell, you could just be trying to prove that you're the strongest there is. People will root for you because you reflect them. If you're losing, you're the underdog. If you're winning, it's righteous victory. Anyone that doesn't share their reason must be a villain... right?
