The story begins in another reality. A place where the Potter family survived the visit from Lord Voldemort and then made the mistake of listening to the advice of an old fool. While trying to give the Boy Who Lived a chance against Lord Voldemort, James Potter sacrifices his first born child. And years later the Dark Lord is the first to suffer the fallout.

Harry's trial did not go the same ways as it did in Order of the Phoenix. Harry never even had a trial because he was later. He was expelled and banished to the muggle world, but he was allowed to drop his belonging off at Gringotts. Now at the start of a new school year Harry has been summoned back before the same court to explain what took place during his visit to the bank.
