  • Princess of Basenji

This story explores the origins of Jeannie and the sibling rivalry with her sister. I offer a name for Jeannie: Aylat-Saba (Doe of morning, or Dawn) which comes from Song of Songs 6:10 which begins: "Who is she who comes like the Doe of Morning..." Jeannie's sister is Tamara which means Gazelle. All the character names are Aramaic (except 1) since Jeannie comes from Mesopotamia.
