To be honest, it is based on Hatchet but the two animals in the story are descendentes of the main antagonists of Ginga Nagareboshi Gin (although it does not mention that in the story or anything about Ginga). It was a class project that we had to change chapter 19 (final) of the book Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. U can look up the title and u will find my Devianart account with it. :)
