This is a collection of short stories / snapshots from the lives of both canonical and original characters. Some snapshots explore questions about the mechanics of the magical world (e.g. How do magical portraits work? How do mages deal with depression?), while others explore the inner struggles of individual characters. Chapters play with different meanings of a word / theme.
