Season 1 AU. A darkness is spreading through the digital world, and its inhabitants are beginning to turn cruel and malicious. Tai and his friends find themselves transported from their summer camp to this dangerous new world, where they must defeat this growing evil and find a way to return home.

Digimon have begun appearing in cyberspace - the dimension between the real world and the digital world. Their presence is affecting computer systems in the human world as they seek out a way to enter reality. An odd group of chosen kids must band together to stop the digimon from wreaking havoc, and find out what's causing the dimensional rifts between worlds.

A strange virus is spreading through the digital world, causing digimon to become feral. A young girl, named Tamika, is whisked away to the digital world three days after her brother's mysterious disappearance. She and her new friend, Veemon, embark on a quest to save the digital world from the pandemic and search for her missing brother.
