It's been six months since the Crucible destroyed every trace of the planet-ravaging AIs known as the Reapers. Six months since Commander Shepard was discovered, barely alive, in the rubble of the Citadel. Six months since Liara T'Soni ran to be by his side. With Shepard back on his feet, he and Liara consider what their futures will hold and enjoy one another's presence.

Taking place between Liara T'Soni's second and third conversations aboard the Normandy in Mass Effect 1, this short story depicts day-to-day shipboard life, and the inner monologue of the young Asari archeologist as she discovers her feelings toward Commander Shepard.
