The world of Remnant is dominated by monsters in the woods and feudal kings ruling from palaces. Jaune Arc, the son of a lowly blacksmith, has been caught in the middle of this world. He yearns for the chance to become a knight, but his father forbids it. He only has one option left to him. Take his silver sword and carve a path through anybody who stands in his way.

Jaune Arc is your average high school student attending Beacon Academy. He plays baseball on the varsity team with his best friend, and he fantasises about his high school crush during class. When Jaune is asked to check on another student after he disappeared from class. Jaune's life changes forever, and he must do everything to make sure he, his friends, and his family survive.

Jaune Arc was moping about his girl troubles once again. Not entirely unusual for the boy as it was something to pass the time. But an encounter with a mysterious stranger left that as the least of his worries in the upcoming weeks. Before long, Jaune was going to become the very monster men had feared for centuries.
