Jamie told Mason he had a solo in the upcoming band concert, he just didn't tell Mason what kind of solo. Hearing Jamie sing for the first time stirs something in Mason, and he can't contain his feelings anymore.

After being born in San Jose, Jamie and his mom never left California and he has spent his childhood years at the ocean with a surfboard under his feet. His best friends are his sketchbook and the water, though that changes when he meets someone one day on the shore.

Mason is at Princeton University and he's supposed to come home for his and Jamie's first Christmas as boyfriends. Too bad the universe seems keen on keeping them apart.
