It's Lemongrab 2's birthday, and Princess Bubblegum has come to visit castle Lemongrab to mourn their death with the sole remaining Earl. But there are many things between them not as easily buried as a corpse, and can the dead ever even be truly put to rest when magic is involved?

Lemongrab experiences phantom pain and other remnants of his trauma that stubbornly refuse to leave him.

Living alone in the woods was often dangerous, that was to be expected. She'd gotten hurt before but never as badly as this.

Fern visits the Earldom after Lemongrab requests a hero's help, but it ends up not being what he expected. (this is not ship at all as Fern is underage while Lemongrab is an adult, so please do not read if you ship adults with minors in general)

LSP explores some relics from her rarely missed childhood.

Everyone knows that bad people deserve to suffer, but what if they've gotten away with it? What if they haven't suffered enough for what they did? Simple problems have simple solutions. (cw self harm, I would rather people under 16 don't read this one)

Lemongrab has a bad dream and like all children turns to his mother for comfort.

Lemongrab 3 celebrates his birthday with LSP for the first time, and comes to appreciate the life he's been given slightly more.
