After receiving a rejection letter from Stanford, Sam returns to Smallville and is surprised to discover that Dean has been in the area recently, and Clark is preparing to take Chloe to the Spring Formal, but his concerns about Roger Nixon's whereabouts are killing the mood. Meanwhile, Lex is fighting to keep the plant open and he may seek help from a very sketchy source.
