An upstate New York high school student awakes one night to find that Pokémon have suddenly appeared, among other strange occurrences. While still contemplating their arrival, he is entrusted the task of helping save the Pokémon World from an approaching evil. With his new partners, he must travel across the state to get to the portal in time while fighting enemies and himself.
