    A more in depth version to the ending of season 1 episode 12 "Captain Jack Harkness", ever so slightly altered. Starts of with Owen and Ianto fighting over whether to open the rift and ends with both of them in med bay. Angst with happy ending, or at least as happy as can be expected from Torchwood. Toshiko is featured as well, but I can only put 4 characters for some reason.

What if she'd wake up, after the hospital was returned to earth, right on the spot where she passed out? What if the doctor overdid his powers and she'd find him unconscious next to the machine he disabled to save her and half of earth's inhabitants?
