Lincoln was as much of a terrible, deadbeat father to his and his sister's children as he was a failure in every other aspect of his life. His morality eroded due to a lifetime of degeneracy and his career in a dying industry in the 2040s left him a deadweight that can barely financially support himself. When offered a second chance to fix everything, he took it without thinking.
