Eiji takes care of Ash after he's been shot. Ash slowly falls for Eiji as Eiji selflessly cares for him, expecting nothing from Ash in return. There's not much of a plot, I just wanted to write a sweet fic of the two falling for each other. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.

Eiji reflects on the time he nursed Ash back from the brink of death after his time spent starving at Golzine's.

We as readers/viewers of the manga and anime never get much insight into the events of Eiji's pole vaulting accident. We never got to see the physical/emotional repercussions. That never sat quite right with me, so I decided to write it. This story is what I think may have happened to Eiji that day and in the year preceding his trip to New York. I hope you enjoy it!
