Gotham's rebuilding after chaos, Bane recovers, transferred to Arkham Asylum for trial. Black Gate not secure. Meets Joker, plot escape. He's sidetracked, focus shifts. Dr. Maureen Hightower holds his future with her recommendation. He's leaving Arkham with a parting gift, whether she likes it or not. Here, the Joker's in Arkham. This is ultimately a Bane x OC story.

Talia hatches a scheme to abduct Commissioner Gordon's daughter Ophelia (Lia for short,) in exchange for several prisoners from Black Gate. Bane enforces every one of Talia's commands with zero hesitation, fatal efficiency and complete loyalty; he doesn't give a second thought to who suffers for Talia's legacy and everlasting greatness.

I highly pervert the storyline to create my narrative. I wanted to understand why Bane lives and dies for Talia's mere exhale, why he shed tears for her. It's a Bane & OC story as I try to understand the shifting tides, what would make a man of Bane's prowess and magnificence change his loyalties. How a soldier could change all allegiance. Jacob Hale Jr.'s niece robbed his safe, stole his car and took off. He had no choice with an election year to reach out to Clay and fetch his runaway niece without it hitting the news. Hale is keeping secrets but pays in cash. Clay dispatches Tig to track down the missing niece. Some people were born to be used by others as pawns and exist only as transactions.
