Christine Daae leaves the Phantom behind to marry Raoul de Chagny, though her life with him was not what she imagined it would be and learns she can trust no one, not even Raoul and decides she will leave him on the night of their engagement party. Three months had passed since Erik left Christine beneath the moonless sky. Christine awoke alone in the abandoned home, unknowing if Erik would ever return. With the little money she found in his possessions, she was able to purchase the necessities to live. She became content on dying in the house until she discovered she was carrying Erik's child.

Christine finds herself in danger, and risking her life, she calls upon the Phantom to save her.

Christine, having realized she is in love with the Phantom, leave Raoul and returns to the opera house in hopes her love will accept her back.
