Christian has lost the love of his life and is once again a dour and sour loner. Ana has moved on, he's learned from Welch, to a new life, a new man and even a child in Philadelphia while she pursues a Ph.D at the Wharton School of Business. He has no interest in learning anything from this loss because he has, it would seem, no incentive. Ana is gone.
