Ten years, they'll tell him later. He'd been there ten years. [spoilers for the Angmar arc in Volume I]
The war is won, the Ring destroyed: Aragorn still can't quite believe it. There's plenty that needs doing in the aftermath, but there's also time for a small break in the company of a friend. (I'm considering this a sequel to On a Field of Red, but they're not connected beside Halbarad being alive. Also, this is a LOTRO canon fic (...besides Halbarad) so there are some spoilers.)
After the Battle of the Fields of Pelennor, Aragorn searches for the friend he lost sight of in the fighting. Very short one-shot.
Braigiar really isn't suited to rescuing people, it would seem. He got Dagoras out easily enough, but now the three of them are stuck on a cliff side with prowling wolves below. Thanks, Amarion.
The Lone Lands: broad, flat, miles in every direction that are beginning to fill with enemies. Its protector: a single Ranger (So what if the whole lone-Ranger gig had been meant to be a temporary thing? So what if he's pretty sure the folks up at Esteldin have all but forgotten him? So what if Saeradan keeps giving him wary looks and begging him to be careful? Candaith's got this.
