After the battle over Jade Mountain things went rather poorly for Winter. Even with the empathy spell, a supposedly dead prince being dragged back to a home he was never supposed to return with and imprisoned. Now that Winter is free his life is in pieces and now he has to pick up the pieces and find what he really want to do with his life. He has some ideas but he'll need friends.

Meet Rimefrost an Icewing born after Snowfall had assumed the throne and smashed the Gift of Order along with the Gift of Protection. While many were happy with the changes and improvements to their lives, Icewings are a traditional and stubborn people. This stubbornness created a rebellion blinded by hatred for the young Queen and Rimefrost was born into its ranks.
