In the wake of the destruction wreaked by Kodos the Executioner on Tarsus IV, Captain Robert April and his wife Doctor Sarah April comfort each other, grieve together, draw strength from one another.

Whilst waiting for her husband to come home from a dangerous mission, keenly aware that he may not return, Sarah April questions the choices that brought them out to space and into such danger.

After sustaining life threatening injuries to save his wife, Robert finds comfort in Sarah’s presence.

Robert April is a survivor of sexual abuse and torture. On his wedding night, he is terrified he won’t be able to please his wife. She teaches him what gentle healing love making is.

When Captain Robert April realizes that his wife, CMO Dr. Sarah April, is struggling with homesickness as Christmas draws near, he finds a way to make the season special on board the Enterprise.
