Zach and Violet Varmitech have become parents to a lively young daughter, Varina "Vari" Varmitech. The family travels to Violet's hometown of Manteo, NC to celebrate her first Mother's Day. As the events of the day unfold, memories of Zach's first Father's Day a year before grip the couple, causing Violet to confront her demons of guilt and loss. Zach strives to comfort her.

Zach returns home after the events of "A Creature Christmas" to find Violet engaging in yuletide cheer, much to his chagrin. After Zach and Violet talk and enjoy quality time together, he changes his opinion on the Christmas holiday.

Zach returns to his plane after being defeated by the Wild Kratts; Violet comforts him in the best way she knows how.
