Emilie loved cats- but Gabriel put his foot down at the idea of a third cat. So she fostered, and with every cat, a design came into being in Gabriel's sketchbook. Adrien loved the cats, and he loved the designs almost as much. But when his mother disappears, all traces of the cats he had loved are gone.

In an unfortunate magical accident, Adrien finds himself stuck in a cat's body. No, like, black fur and rumbly purrs; the whole package. By chance of fate, he stumbles upon a kind witch living in the woods- and no, he totally wasn't wandering the woods, half dazed and operating purely on instict. Seems like he's staying with Marinette. Could be worse- she was quite lovely. Witch!AU

Everybody has a soulmark; a black void marking where their soulmate will first touch them. Adrien's whole hands are covered: mostly black, with small areas peppered with thin black stipes. Peculiar.
