After the publicity surrounding his previous excursion, Underdog decides that he needs someone who can help him sort appearances unrelated to crime. His friends suggest Scotty Affen, a talent agent who is generally good at his job, but can get a bit… far-sighted. When Scotty does sign Underdog, he doesn't plan to do things any differently - whether Underdog likes his plans or not.

Underdog is given the task of guarding the King of Bongo Congo during his vacation to America. However, a series of well-timed robberies calls Underdog away, and the King's crown is stolen. Underdog is left with guilt at a job failed and a new task at hand: discover who stole the crown - and promptly return it to its rightful owner before the criminal underworld can find out.

[‼ MAJOR DEVIL'S PLAYHOUSE SPOILERS ‼ ] Sam is lost without Max. He tries to suck it up for Geek's sake, but it's obvious to both of them, this isn't going to work. They have to get Max back, even if it takes every kind of necromancy in the book to do it.
