This one is really just a test, something quick to get me back in the grove. It was written for the Short Fiction Weekly Challenge on tumblr, for a prompt asking you to describe your character in as much indulgent physical detail as you wished, so each chapter will represent a different one of the 8 heroes of the galaxy.

When a young Howling Banshee is purchased by the Kabal of the Ashen Rose, she finds herself developing a relationship she never expected with its melancholy archon- and becoming drawn into the dangerous and brutal world of Commorragh politics. Can she find happiness in her new life? Or will a millennia-old rivalry spell doom for both her and the kabal?
