This is an origin story. More specifically, this is the story of how three "little Castle babies" got their names. This is dedicated to my wonderful friend, thefuturemrscaskett! Thank you for the idea!

This one shot can be set any time between 47 Seconds and the end of Undead Again. It begins in the middle of a fight and ends with making up. It's my first attempt at this kind of story.

Set in season 4, pre 47 seconds. Following Martha's one woman show, Kate makes an interesting discovery in Castle's kitchen that explains how Castle can deliver a perfect latte no matter the time of day or night.
