Following the fall of Mr X and establishing peace with the Lima Nations, the heroes are faced with the aftermath of their battles. Will Wood Oak City prosper once again or will it fall? Times are uncertain for each of the heroes, who will face a period of change and transformation not just in the world around them, but in themselves.

In order to stop a new gang of criminals, an unexpected alliance forms between heroes and rivals of two different cities, Wood Oak and Metro City. The events of this story take place following Streets of Rage Volume 7 (Wood Oak City Bleeding), where Wood Oak is finally at peace after the fall of the Y-Syndicate. The same cannot be said for it's neighbouring city.

Volume 7 - One year has passed, but the Y-Twins have returned to finish what they had started. With widespread corruption and revenge on their minds, the city's only hope lies with the group of vigilantes. (This volume follows 1-6 where the previous story up until this point can be found below).

Volume 6 - It has been almost a decade since the death of Mr X and a new syndicate has gained control of Wood Oak City. Life has taken it's toll on the team of fighters and fate has bought them to different places. Will they ever reunite and fight together once again? - This volume follows 1-5 (after Beginnings, Rebirth, Path of a Heroine, Chasing Justice & Toxic Past)
