Part 2 of What It Means to be a King: In the cold cave of Forochel, Sauron rises again. Using his prior experience with the Elves, Sauron seduces Celebrimbor to make the Rings of Power. And in the east of the Misty Mountains, Thranduil returns to his father and learns the meaning of joy again, unaware that Sauron never forgets nor does he forgive.

Second Age Lindon: Sauron chances upon an opportunity to penetrate Lindon where the young King Gil-galad struggles to rule a newborn realm. Desperate to unify his people torn apart by the tragedies of the First Age, Gil-galad forces Oropher to leave behind his young son to be trained and educated alongside Elrond, hoping the two kinsmen could become a bridge between their people.
