Goku and Chi-Chi are preparing to get married not long after their initial proposal at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament. However, these plans are ruined once Goku is asked to play a game of tag that will save the world against Lum, the alien princess of a planet called Oni. Things get worse once Goku wins the game, and Lum wrongfully assumes that he asked her to marry him.
Within the abandoned headquarters of the Red Ribbon Army, Bulma has discovered a laboratory left behind by its owner, Dr. Gero. There, she discovers a scanner that can bring a person from the real world to a virtual world called Lyoko. She uses Goku as a test subject, but due to a freak accident, the boy's body has permanently been virtualized. Now, he must find a way back home.
After the defeat of Kid Buu, Goku was unable to prevent Chi-Chi from dying due to an unknown illness. Feeling lost and empty inside, Goku is inadvertently transported to an alternate universe by Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and his inter-dimensional admirer. Stuck in a world he is unfamiliar with, Goku must learn to let go of his wife and survive gods who want him gone.
After almost dying in his fight with Beerus, Chi Chi gets sick of worrying over Goku's safety and decides to put their marriage on hold because of it. Wracked with guilt, things get worse for Goku when him, Vegeta, and the Pilaf Gang are transported to an alternate dimension by the legendary Pokémon, Giratina. What's worse? Pilaf wished Goku and Vegeta to be kids again beforehand.
In preparation for the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament, Fortuneteller Baba has suggested that Goku travel to an alternate world known as Earth Land to complete his training. Upon arrival, Goku ends up joining a powerful guild known as Fairy Tail and becomes friends with its youngest members. Two particular members, in fact, will change the course of his very life in both worlds.
One year after sacrificing himself against Cell, Goku has been living in peace on Other World. He's able to fight strong opponents, and watch over his loved ones whenever he pleases.
