Written in TV script format, in this episode Twilight Sparkle wants to stop the long standing barbaric tradition of Captain's Renewal, where in the Captain of Royal Guard (her brother, Shining Armor) must physically defend his rank and position from it's number 1 contender, a perpetual underdog Earth Pony named Straight Edge.
