Fourth Age Gondor. Private investigator Súldil foolishly rescues a kidnapped girl, only to stumble upon a treasonous conspiracy. The case takes him from the alleys of Minas Tirith to the mithril mines of Eriador. (Not exactly his idea of a relaxing holiday.) Worst of all, King Aragorn's eldest daughter has taken a special interest in provoking Súldil at every opportunity.
