Dante is a confusing dog. He has his reasons for acting so strange though. As he tries to start bonding with his adopted family, road blocks and faces from his past come back to stand in the way. In this story, Dante has to figure out where he belongs and how to move on. The harsh realities of his past make it difficult, but he's learned that he can always try.

When a new corgi moves to Dalmatian street, Dante quickly realizes that they have a lot in common. When Dylan and Dolly notice how close the two have gotten, they cause Dante to believe that his new friend might have a secret crush on him.

Dylan noticed that Dante has been sneaking into their parents room at night. He becomes determined to figure out what would cause one of his oldest siblings to bother their parents in the middle of the night so often, and he forgets that it's best to ask his brother what's going on. When he confronts Dante, he soon finds out the dark truth about the dark pups past.
