Naruto the Great Mechanist

Naruto fails the exam and can't join the genin teams. He leaves Konoha and starts a career as a craftsman, while changing gender and name to non-binary and Youko. They're becoming a great mechanist, making chakra-fueled tools and weapons that could improve dramatically the abilities of their wielder. They also meet Jiraya at fifteen and become his protégé.
