Phoenix Wright survived falling from a burning bridge and getting hit by a car. Apollo survived a courtroom bombing. "Surviving near death experiences" seemed to be part of the job description at the Wright Anything Agency, and so it seemed only natural that it would eventually be Athena's turn.
