Wishing things would return to the way they were after the war may not have been a good thing. Nor is the reality returned to how things were before the war. After all, something changed for things to have returned to the way they were in the first place, although Hermione doesn't know what changed beyond the world she knew before attending Hogwarts being turned upside down.
