Because Arthur was jealous of Merlin picking flowers for Morgana, Merlin decided to pick forget-me-nots for Arthur every time he went to gather herbs for Gaius. It started out as a joke, but later turned into something more. A thousand years later, the first thing Arthur did for him was go out and buy forget-me-nots. Fluff and angst.
