In the Dream Ghost song in "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" it's shown/told that a guy is deciding whether or not to leave his wife, somebody else is wondering if she should terminate her pregnancy, a woman is dreaming in Portuguese, and a man is agonizing over whether to buy or lease a new Porsche. This is those people's stories and what they decide. Not meant to contradict canon.
