Harry is a squib who grew up under the 'care' of the Dursleys after his parents' death when he was one. One summer, he meets an injured snake with white scales and red eyes. Harry takes care of the unnaturally clever snake, and even considers his pet until the day it becomes obvious that what he thought was a snake was something else entirely. Eventual HPLV

Raised by the Dursleys, Harry learns he is a squib the same day his twin learns he is a wizard. He doesn't want to resent the one loving relative he has, but it's hard not to feel jealous when one learns his sibling will spend the year learning magic while he is stuck in the muggle world. Fortunately, Harry can always count on his imaginary "friend", Tom, to help him, can't he?
