Sherlock retreats into his mind palace for some recreational cold case solving. What started as an escape from his withdrawal soon turns into something sinister. Takes place during TLD. H/C, whump, Doctor!John, detox, a case and caring!John.

Sherlock acutally gets sick and vehemently refuses to accept it while John finds out things about his friend that explain a lot, but also make everything a bit difficult. John struggles to find a way to help his friend, though Sherlock is oblivious until he gets worse. Takes place after TBB, before SiB. Sick Sherlock, Doctor!John.

Sherlock is back in London and in John's life, but the aftermath of his time away hits them harder than expected, especially when a new case confronts the detective with crimescenes that remind him of torture and loss. Although everyone tries to help Sherlock has trouble to accept any of it. H/C, Flashbacks, panic attacks, PTSD, aftermath of torture, whump.
