Post S-4: Choices and obligations, personal drives and responsibilities, even a pandemic may part them for long spells, but inevitably, they will reunite at the crossroads. Set in real time, it's almost Christmas. An "alien-abduction" case intrigues Sherlock. The Watson's Yuletide visit is "an opportunity" for the friends to share their next adventure. Rated T for language
Set in the near future (with presumptions about Season 4) the Watsons share their euphoria after the birth of their baby girl with their Best Man/Best Friend. Would Sherlock have been able to value such human emotions without the critical thresholds he experienced in A Scandal in Belgravia? A look at select moments (mostly from ASiB)that influenced Sherlock's emotional development.
Go Home Part 3 Missing conversation from HLV between John and Sherlock During Sherlock's incarceration, Mycroft, John, and Sherlock shared hopes, regrets, and heal wounds of misunderstanding. The context of John's and Sherlock's exchange offers a basis for their albeit very restrained final meeting at the air base.
Responding to an appeal by englishtutor, to do a "a chapter exploring what poor Mary was going through as she waited for word," I have written TOO MUCH TO ASK from Mary M. Watson's POV as a companion piece to MISSING IN ACTION and ACTION IN MISSING. Keeping within the BBC backstory of Mary M. Watson, I give you a third perspective on that frightening night of worry! …
Go Home Part 2 Scenes In Between By: Wynsom Sequel to Go Home. Another conversation between Sherlock and John Watson "missing" from Season 3, His Last Vow (episode 3). Wounds may be healing. Sherlock has returned to Baker Street and is secretly planning to raid Appledore. John finally opens up about how he's managing with and without Mary since Sherlock nearly died.
Will Wounds Heal? A "missing" conversation between Sherlock and John Watson that could have taken place in Season 3, His Last Vow (episode 3). Sherlock wakes up again in the hospital after collapsing from bleeding internally at Baker Street in the aftermath of new revelations between John and Mary Watson.(Also check out MISSING PIECES for an updated version & 3-chapter arc)
Companion piece to Missing in Action (a deliberate reversal in title words and perspective): The Derailment from John Watson's POV, in which John discovers, through his action in missing his former life and army career, something important about himself and his civilian life with Sherlock and Mary. (All disclaimers about not owning Sherlock apply.)
In TSOT, clever Mary Morstan knew the boys needed "to run" and urged them to pick a case, especially Sherlock who was definitely becoming obsessive compulsive about the wedding plans. This fanfic occurs in that split-second when John convinces Sherlock to pick a case. Comically played by Benedict and Martin, this moment is IMHO a precursor to darker events to come in HLV
John Watson is missing during an Underground derailment. With both a very pregnant Mary and Sherlock fearing for his safety, Sherlock goes to the scene to find his friend and grapples with the difficulties of human nature—mostly his own. Chapters 1 and 2 have been reworked. (Special nod to Honourable for her kind candor.) For those who might choose to reread, thank you!
In the first six years, Mulder and Scully existed in a slow burn of passion and innuendo. One could feel the heat of their UST, but shippers were mostly left outside in the cold. I was a patient shipper-but this Dream Sequence was the result of my own impatience, wondering how, when, and if Mulder and Scully would consummate their love.
Sherlock and John acquire an understanding about each other whilst solving the mystery of a man who stepped "back into his own house to get his umbrella and was never more seen in this world." Based on an "unfinished tale" referenced by Watson in ACD's "The Problem of Thor Bridge," this story is set more than a year into the partnership of the BBC characters. All disclaimers apply.
Nearly a year with his eccentric flatmate and John Watson is still learning what it means to live and work with the genius of Sherlock Holmes. Borrowing the time frame and characterizations from the BBC Sherlock series, this little fanfic tells their enduring story. I hope you will find the ending justifies the means. Please enjoy.
Luring Scully with the promise that she will obtain medical knowledge and the cure to all mankind's diseases-especially cancer, CSM extracts one more difficult promise. She must not to tell Mulder that she is going. Though CSM connections, Scully gets a disc with the scientific information, but the disc she brings back to TLG for analysis is blank. This story picks up from here.
The Sixth season episode entitled Milagro, teleplay by Carter and by writer/producer John Shiban and Frank Spotnitz, ended as Scully and Mulder hugged. This small work picks up from there. If any moment so begged an intimate exchange between them, this one would be it.
(Sherlock BBC 3:1) Scenes and Subtexts from The Empty Hearse. What were John's thoughts after discovering Sherlock was alive? What were Sherlock's after John's rejection? Each chapter inserts words not spoken that explores how their friendship survives The Fall. (Faithful to the BBC series with some liberties.) Thanks to sevenpercent for her insights that supported this rewrite.
Remaining faithful to BBC Canon, these 3 chapters are my FIRST fics-apologies in advance-and were written to fill the 'in-between scenes' that IMHO were sorely missing from HLV. Originally one-shots entitled GO Home (1,2.3), cause I didn't know how to make chapters. SO PLEASE read instead this linked version- MISSING PIECES which is updated in small but significant ways.
