9th - 10th Cen. AD: In the golden age of Heian, the man named Fujiwara-no-Kiku acts as a member of the imperial line and advisor to the Emperor. But all the while, he has to keep hidden his true identity as personification of the land of the rising sun. Things start to become complicated, however, when one night he discovers a tiny baby girl within a bamboo stalk.
