I took this down a while ago and received many requests to re-post. So I have found all the chapters and am going to put them back up. It won a couple of awards and had thousands of reviews at the time it was originally up. It's a marriage law fic about Hermione and Severus. I'm sorry I caused so much upset in taking it down. Hermione Weasley has just lost her husband, Ron, in a freak accident. Her Investigative Partner and friend Severus Snape is there to support her and her child through this loss. Severus must, however, keep his true feelings for her hidden from Hermione and all others. But that's not a challenge, because he's already been doing that for years.

Voldemort has won and a resistance force is working toward his defeat from three camps spread out on islands around the UK. A story where relationships and curses are explored, sides are chosen, and people are betrayed. It takes place 3 years after the Order falls in a world where characters are fighting dark forces both inside and out. A SS/HG pairing as well as others.

Severus Snape wakes after the battle of Hogwarts alive and the unwitting recipient of a fresh start at life. He comes to understand that it includes a muggle-born wife and an eighteen year old body.
