Hermione's there waiting to hear how it went, and, though a bit exasperated, she's willing to explain her reasoning. Harry finds it less than satisfactory. Harry's never been one for giving up, but neither has Riddle, and as they both are forced to work together- in more ways than one- the stakes slowly change.
